First Time in Chandigarh| A Walnut Festival in Peddlers in Elante

It’s a good news for all you walnut lovers out here!

California Walnut Commission is hosting the first ever Walnut festival in Chandigarh in association with Peddlers, Uncle Jack’s and Sindhi Sweets. It has been started on 6th November at Peddler’s, Elante.

“Walnuts offer great taste and texture that holds up to a variety of flavor pairings. They can be served raw, toasted, candied, spiced and incorporated into a variety of recipes. Considering the city’s growing demand for healthy snacking and finger food options, walnuts are the ideal choice to include in our menu; they are not only healthy but are also a wonderfully versatile ingredient to work with,” added Vipul Dua, CEO, Peddlers.

“The idea is to highlight the usage and versatility of walnuts in the tricity and showcase them a ‘go-to’ nut for cooking and snacking, befitting any meal or occasion. Not only are they heart-healthy, but also the only nut with a significant amount of plant-based omega-3 making suitable for vegetarians. We hope our esteemed guests will enjoy this delicious and healthy treat we have in store for them and will make walnuts a part of their daily diet plans,” said Pamela Graviet, senior marketing director, International at California Walnut Board and Commission.
The festival presents a whole feast of various Indo-Western fusion delicacies with California Walnuts like Walnut Kebab, Walnut and Cheese Cigar, Walnut Fries, Baked Honey Walnut and Walnut Delight and many more such exotic fusions.
Head to Peddlers in Elante and enjoy the scintillating experience of flavors of a dry fruit we all have grown relishing.
