Keeping in view the current pandemic situation and interests of students, the Punjab government has issued a notification waiving off tuition and admission fees.
Tuition and admission fee waived off
Today, the Government issued a notification for waiver of tuition and admission fees in all the government run schools across the State.
The notification comes at a time when parents across the country have been demanding that school fees not be charged for the duration schools have been closed due to the COVID-19 crisis.
Announcement made earlier
Earlier, on 25th July, while answering the questions of citizens, Captain Amarinder Singh in #AskCaptainSession had announced that no admission, re-admission and tuition fees will be charged from all students studying in Govt Schools from this session.
Applicable for academic session 2020-21
The orders would be applicable for this academic session i.e. 2020-21.
