Chandigarh Industrial Tourism Corporation (CITCO) is set to introduce ‘party boat with terrace’ at Sukhna Lake to attract residents and tourists. For the first time, a luxury cruise is being purchased for small parties. The boat will be having a capacity of 40 persons and would be launched in three-four months, as per Jasvinder Kaur, Managing Director, CITCO. The tender for the same would be floated this week.
Shikaras
In another development at the Sukhna Lake, CITCO is going to purchase four new shikaras (houseboats) from Jammu & Kashmir. The management has written to the authorities for permission to purchase and transport these. Currently, four shikaras are functional at the lake.
