Mango Lovers! ‘Mango Mela’ Is Starting From July 8

What better feast can ever be there for any mango lover than to relish the sumptuous delights of varieties of mango, all at one place!

Haryana Tourism Department is organising yet another season of Mango Mela, (26th it is to be precise) at Pinjore Garden with farmers around the region flaunting their mangoes varieties. More than 3,000 entries of different mango varieties are expected there.

 

MAJOR  ATTRACTIONS OF MANGO MELA: 

MANGO EATING COMPETITION: July 8; 10am It is going to be organised on July 8 and open to all and anyone can enjoy free mangoes while boasting their unapologetic love for mangoes.

MANGO QUIZ COMPETITION: With cash prize worth Rs. 51,000 and Rs. 21,000

Special Counter to sell quality mango plants

Seminar for farmers to educate them to better their produce, headed by known agriculture scientists

Folk Dance performance: July 8, 6pm onwards

Singing Performance by Haryanvi pop and folk singer Gajender Phogat: July 9

Competitions for students: July 8; 10am dance, rangoli making, face painting, fancy dress

Food Court: multi-cuisine Food Court will serve mouth-watering cuisines including the robust flavours from Punjab, subtle aromas of the South and oriental flavours of Chinese along with Indian street food.

Craft Bazaar: The display and sale of handlooms and handicrafts by talented craftspersons/weavers from Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan etc.

Haryana Roadways to run special buses from Chandigarh, Zirakpur and Panchkula to Pinjore.
