Chandigarh | Cautious MC Asks Quarantined to Self-isolate for Another Two Weeks

The mandatory 14-days long quarantine period has ended for approximately 1000 residents in Chandigarh. However, they have been asked by the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation’s officials to self-isolate and not to step outside for another two weeks. The reason given by MC additional commissioner Anil Garg, who is heading the teams quarantining people, is to completely rule out the threat perception as the government directions say.

The quarantined posters from their houses have been removed. Garbage collections from the quarantined houses will continue and will be provided with essentials unabated.

The number of quarantined in Chandigarh has reduced to 500.

More to be quarantined

The contacts of fresh case of COVID-19 of Sector-37 resident are still being traced and quarantined. Therefore, the number of quarantined are expected to increase in the days to come.
